Residential Classification

The Residential General Contractor Classification Exam consists of 90 multiple choice questions. Examinees have 3½ hours in which to complete the residential exam. You must answer 63 questions correctly in order to obtain a passing score of 70%. The current pass rate state-wide is less than 40% on the first attempt. The Construction Institute’s students’ pass rate is in the high 90 percentile on the first attempt.

All Residential Classification seminars are on Saturdays from 8:00AM to 5:00PM with an hour for lunch. You will need your 2009 Residential Code, Contractor’s Guide to Business Law & Project Mgmt. 6th Edition and OSHA handbook of construction industry regulations. Your Study Guide will be given to you at the seminar.  Our competitive tuition for the residential seminar is $300.00.
