Scott is a former NC Code Official. He is Vice President and co-owner of Hurst Build, Inc. A certified Remodeler with the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) and an Accredited LEED Green Associate with Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI). He has over 35 years of experience in both residential and commercial construction with a solid background and practical field experience in several trade areas as well as vendor management/procurement, personnel management, estimating, bidding, design and customer relations. He is also an accomplished speaker and instructor and teach construction courses at Central Piedmont Community College in Charlotte, NC. Scott holds a NC General Contractors License, Previously a Building Inspector III (Unlimited) & Plumbing Inspector Level I NC Code Official Certifications.

Jeff is a current NC Code Official who has taught the NC Code and Construction related courses for more than 15 years with most courses being offered at Central Piedmont Community College in Charlotte, NC. A previous GC and Remodeling Contractor he has over 35 years of construction experience on both residential and commercial projects including over 20 years as a code official. He is the 2020 President of the NC Building Inspectors Association and serves on the State ad hoc committee for the NC Residential Building Code, also he is a member of the Code Officials Qualification Board. He holds a NC Building Level III (unlimited), Fire Level III (unlimited), Plumbing Level I standard certifications; NC GC License, NC Home Inspectors License and NC Real Estate Brokers License (Provisional).

Devon followed in her father's footsteps and entered the construction industry becoming a the fourth generation of contractors in her family. She now holds a North Carolina General Contractors License (Building Classification) and is a former Mecklenburg County Code Enforcement Official (Building & Plumbing Inspector). She has a degree in Construction Management and possesses over 20 years of experience in the construction industry. She is President & co-owner of Hurst Build, Inc. who provides general contracting services for both residential and commercial projects. She is also the Vice President of The Construction Institute. Devon is proficient with SoftPlan and prepares all the design and CAD drawings for Hurst Build's design/build projects.
